Nutshell: Take a Power4 and add symmetric multithreading (equivalent to Intel Hyperthreading). .13 micron now; .09 in 2005. Power6 in 2006. :lol:

More Power5 goodness.

- Dynamic power management shuts down portions of the core that aren't in use.
- IBM SMT should be more efficient than Intel HT.
- Larger L2 cache.
- Integrated memory controller.
- Maybe a faster FPU.
- Database & networking accelerators also on the chip package.
