I am sick and tired of the damned Insert key accidentally activating. Sometimes I overwrite half a paragraph before noticing. Other than physically destroying the keyboard, is there an easy way to completely disable that Insert key, e.g., in software or OS?

I'm not always constantly looking at one object. Sometimes I look at the TV set, or the four temperature monitors, pressure monitors, power status indicators, clocks, timers, etc.

Pop off the key and superglue the plunger.
Jamb the bones of small critter under the key so it won't depress.
Desolder the circuit board for that key.

I'm full of ideas.

It's the bridge of the Starship Enterprise.

:mrgrn: I wish!

The crazy part about the bridge was that no lavatory was attached. Back in the 1960s nobody went to the toilet.

Odd fact: In the Word of God canonically approved and published ship blueprints for the Enterprise D, there is one toilet for the whole crew complement.

On some keyboards i have been known to remove the left windows key. I dont need to copy past and accidently touch the win key and bounce myself right out of the app. Almost all regular keyboards the keys just pull straight up and off and you can put it back later. Dont do it on a laptop though.

No, just the left windows key. It is common during gaming to accidentally hit that key, as LCtrl, LAlt, and LShift are very commonly used.

Sorry for the slight derailment ;)

What is the LCtrl; do you mean the left one or hold down L?
