Jeep here in Oz had a pretty bad reputation for quality/reliability, not to mention it's been in the media recently that Jeep Australia is under investigation by ASIC, ATO and ACCC for various breaches of tax and consumer law. (ASIC/ATO are investigating possible fraud within the Jeep head office, eg the CEO spending $100K of company money on a private home renovation, and ACCC is investigation over claims of consumers being mislead about their rights in relation to warranty repairs, and even specifications of the vehicles themselves).
The only reason why new Jeep's are seen on the road, is how cheap they are being offered against other brands... even undercutting the likes of Tata, Great Wall, Skoda, Kia and Hyundai to sell cars...
