"Showtime.exe-Application Error
The instruction at "0x10C416de" referenced memory at "ox12d5e900". The memory could
not be "Read".

What does this mean? Possible cause?

Thanks

I am omnipresent
Could also be a filesystem error of some sort. I'd probably run a chkdsk before I bothered with the memory test.

ran chkdsk:OK

Will run memtest tonight...

Wonder if it's a conflict between the other video progams? VLC, FLV player, etc?

No memory errors. Must be a software conflict I haven't been able to figure out.

Burning Rom works fine, it's just showtime that doesn't.

Don't really need it. I bought a Plextor external Bluray player, with PowerDVD for playing Bluray on this machine.

The drive got good reviews, and, it's USB, which apparently is fast enough to play Bluray disks... Hasn't arrived yet.
