Storage? I am Storage!
Well, I finally managed to crash Mozilla 1.2a.
Useless bloody program.
It just lost the plot completely, got slower and slower and, eventually, refused to refresh my screen. In the end I had to close it with the task manager.
Mind you, I was asking rather a lot of it. Errr ... a very large lot, in fact. Indeed, to tell the truth, I've had it running continously for about a week or ten days without restarting it. And doing Google searches in the first window, and then clicking "open in new tab" on every entry that looked like it might be a possibility, until I ran out of tab space (which is quite a lot of them with my tiny-font skin and 1150 resolution). And clicking on six or eight more because after you close a few of the earlier tabs, you can get to the hidden ones.
Every now and then, I'd click "open in new window" instead, and then start filling that one up. And because I've been working on a few different things at once, and have the attention span of a five-year-old in a lolly shop, I'd leave all that open, maybe minimise it, maybe not, and start on some other topic. This has been going on for quite some time now. Days and days, in fact. And try as I might, I couldn't get it down to less than ... oh, I suppose 15 or 20 sessions, each with between 10 and 20 tabs open, which works out to, oh, maybe a mere few hundred simultaneous windows, complete with whatever crap the varous pages insist on loading. Plus the various other things the system was doing: folding, a dozen or so Opera sessions, email, half a dozen IE windows now and then, assorted other stuff.
And just now it finally, finally crashed.
I kid you not, gentlemen: Mozilla is the most stable browser in the Universe!
