Multiple Video Cards and MPC?

Media Player Classic is awesome. And it can output video to any display hooked up to your primary video card. But it goes blank or crashes when outputting to a screen driven by another video card. Has anyone else run into this? Is there another player I should be looking at?

IIRC (and this was a while ago, so maybe IDRC) I think that I had to change the render mode before it would work on a secondary adapter. Of course I cannot remember what mode worked, just that I fiddled with it.

Edit: I also recall changing codec preferences at some point as well; something about ffdshow - either had to disable or enable for it to work (I know, not very helpful, but might provide a hint as how to proceed).

It will even split screens if I ask nicely...
