My brother's Epox EP-8KHA+ (KT266A) board has bulging capacitors and is acting flaky.

I don't want to spend much money. I need some way to revive this board (cap replacement service?) or find a working equivalent replacement board I can drop in.

Any body got one?

Cap replacement isn't hard. All the values for the caps are written on the caps. (De)soldering is a pretty simple process, and the parts themselves are cheap.

Not that easy. I've had one go at it on a 8KHA+ and soldering the caps back on with good penetration is hard. You run the risk of generating a dry solder joint if you cannot get the solder to flow into the hole. Given the time I've spent so far, it's just as easy and cost efficient to pick up something like an Asrock K7S41GX (the only Socket A board I can buy new in Aus) for around $70—$75.
