[NEWS] - IC design speed gets boost from Opteron

Opteron processors and 64bit Linux seems to give IC developers a lot more power compared to 32bit solutions.

ReShape's Design Aware optimizer seems to be 1.7 times faster (on averate) with a 1.8GHz Opteron, compared to a 2.8GHz Xeon.

Seems to be we'll start seing the difference between 64/32bit pretty soon now.
