The new SiS965L South Bridge will be compatible with current SiS chipsets, such as SiS661FX, SiS648FX, SiS655FX, SiS655TX, SiS748, SiS755, SiS755FX and SiS760. Manufacturers can benefit from greater compatibility and improved sales and support by using a current generation SiS chipset updated to the new PCI-Express standard with the SiS965L I/O controller.

SiS965L features 2 PCI-Express x1 ports, 6 PCI ports, 8 USB 2.0 ports, 8-channel sound, 10/100Mb/s Ethernet, 2 Serial ATA-150 ports with hot plug functionality and RAID, 2-channel Parallel ATA-33/66/100/133.

SiS said its new SiS965L is available immediately...

:D

But I have to admit I share Blake's enthusiam for SIS products as of late.

One thing that dissapoints, which is no different than any of the other recent chipsets - only 2 native SATA connectors. Sigh.

Would someone please design a chipset with native support for 4 SATA devices!
