I did not know the maxtor was availablel. I'ev only the one dreaded PAT Hitachti that is relegulated to backup usage.

First place I looked was Newegg. 350$ with shipping. It is listed as being in stock. Maybe other stores sell it too.

Cheaper at Computer Giants : 328$. I don't know how they charge for the shipping.

Maxtor sells an external firewire 800 version for 356$. Found all them through SR's price engine.
