Nothing to fear Buck. Unless you have a good set of antlers on your head There's a lovely layering of snow on the ground which has given perfect conditions. 5 layers of clothing should be enough.

T'was a successful day yesterday.

I was only in the treestand for half an hour before this doe came towards me.

The days takings from our group (not for the easily queasy). 4 does, no bucks yet, tho we saw several.

Yes I read that this morning in the paper. You have to have rocks in your head not to wear orange during the regular season, there are so many crazy hunters out there, who will shoot at anything that moves. How you could mistake a human being for a deer is still puzzling IMO. I'm fortunate to be hunting on private lands with permission, and know that everyone else with me is wearing orange. I'd hate to be out in public parks.

Tomorrow I'm going out again, there's a couple of inches of snow forecast for tonight which should make for excellent conditions.
