I need to do some pretty serious modding on the power supply for my new system (airflow, cable lengths, connector count, fans, etc). Part of this will be a new wiring harness. Are the voltages/colors of the wires (red, yellow, orange, white, black, blue) an industry standard? I'd like to use the connectors/wires off some other power supplies I have and solder them onto the circuit board for this one.

I don't know if the colors are standard, but their placement in the socket/plug will be (unless, you are using Dell power supplies).

Good point. I should be able to look at the wire locations on the ATX connector of the two wires and compare to verify voltages. Thanks (this is what I get for playing with large capacitors late at night).

I should get back to the high-powered metalworking tools...

I don't know if there is a standard for the colours but I do know that if there is it is often not adhered to.
