Re-compiling GCC's source code takes an ethernity

Even on a 2400+ Athlon XP.

It's been going for an hour and I have no idea how much is left to go. All that for a package I won't use that much, or at least that I could have very well lived with the previous version (I'm installing the source rpm of GCC3.3.2 to upgrade my current 3.2.3).

It better worthes it.
