I could have sworn I'd asked this question before, but I can't find the thread, and I can't remember an answer.

I need to burn a directory to DVD using the task scheduler. No compression or other options required.

TIA

Now I remember. The rescource kit includes a tool that will burn ISOs from the command line, but I need a way to create ISOs from a directory structure automatically. Help?

I am omnipresent
I do something like

xcopy /h/i/c/k/e/r/y/w d:

I think there's a special command for writing to to a WORM DVD, though.

I ended up getting a program called magicISO for $30 that has a great command-line interface for creating and modifying ISO files very quickly. I then use the dvdburn.exe tool from the rescource kit (thanks Merc) to burn said ISO to DVD.

Though not free, it works for me.

Thanks guys (or rather, Merc)

I've never attempt it, but, can Microsoft Backup (on Windows Server 2003) perform backups to a DVD±R or DVD±R/W?

No, can't do it.

I particularily like the bit referring to the "Getting Started" section indicating that you can back up to CDs. Except that you, um, can't.

And it's been there in the guide since W2K.
