An U160 SCSI adapter from LSI would be a reliable and cheap solution. HyperMicro used to sell those the last time I visited their site. If you get it from there, you'll have free shipping if you mention Storagereview.com in you order (if you live in the USA).

Uppon verification, the LSI adapter coming in a white box kit cost only 89U$ and it comes with a 5 position LVD cable. It used to cost 119U$ (and it was cheap even then), so that's a great price.

The item # at Hypermicro.com is LSIU160-WB and it is currently in stock.

Screw Adaptec; the LSI Logic SCSI host adaptors released during the past 2+ years are great, not to mention *highly* price competitive! They also have Ultra-320 SCSI adaptors now, including multi-channel versions.

On a side note, LSI Logic also recently released a very impressive and very aggressive 4-channel Ultra-320 SCSI RAID host adaptor.
