Thank you for the kind introduction E_dawg. I'm grateful.

Gilbo has been with us for a while....
Ah yes, good old Gilbolt, as many of as you are, no doubt, aware, one should never try and slip anything past CityK
.
I did indeed forget the Gilbolt password. I swear, when I tried to register initially, Gilbo was already in use (I may have registered it some time ago and forgotten --would an unused account expire?). Of course, I just retried it and here I am. I think I only posted twice under Gilbolt, but I certainly intend to pass a little more time here now that I have gotten hold of my proper name. I have to say that I am looking forward, in particular, to relaxing a little in a Pub which is not dominated by political debate
.
Incidentally, and rather OT:
I'm posting this from a Knoppix session (I cannot possibly do the Knoppix CD justice --I can't think of a more useful CD).
The boot disk in my computer just imploded rather thoroughly unfortunately. Let's all have a moment of silence for an original Western Digital Caviar
36400. A 5400 RPM Caviar... Who would have thought that after 3 years of SMART warnings the thing would finally give out, and without a single bad sector too. One boot, all is well. A quick restart, and the whole thing is hosed. I can't get a single sector off it. It figures; I had just started to trust the damn thing again.
Of course, as a good storage afficiando all my data is safely backed up elsewhere. I did lose a rather nice bookmark tree in Firefox though
... and a wardrobe that was getting very respectable...
