Great. Does this actually allow data to be written denser? Can they even read it back?
From what I gather not denser and they can't read it back faster than current drives as the laser doesn't help there. But anyway it's something as the write is the slowest thing with spinning disks now anyway.

If it doesn't allow more data per square inch, then it's a dead-end technology.
