Hmm... The idle noise seems bit off... Many have stated at SilentPCReview.com that 7200.7 is louder than Samsung SP80. Well, that's just what the meter hears...

yup 7200.7 > ATA V > ATA IV > Samsung P80

On par with the similar Maxtor drive, except for the three years warranty. Fast enough, although not a category leader, and very affordable all things consider. Samsung has a winner here.
