Switch between speakers and headphones

Got a new Monitor. 22" Acer AL2223W.

I love it but I'm missing one feature of my 20" Dell 2005FPW. With my Dell, I had the sound bar that you could turn on and off. And, when you plugged headphones into it, it turned off the soundbar speakers and just used the headphones.

The new monitor has a built in speaker but no way to turn it off. Any ideas how I can quickly and easily switch between headphones and the monitor speaker w/o having to unplug anything. I currently have them both working but must unplug the wire to the monitor if I just want to use the headphones... :-(

My soundcard has a little application that you can tell where you want sound to go. Does yours?

Seemed to be the cheapest & cleanest route. They are probably crap speakers but I bet they're better than what this monitor has in it anyway. And...the have a headphone connection.

In some monitors you can turn the sound off/on in the monitors setup program. The one built into the monitor.
