It's a Gigabyte Z77n-WIFI. It has a pretty serious heat sink on the north bridge. I'm going to try the PicoPSU route next and see what that gets me before I start cutting in to the case to add more fans.
It took me about 40 minutes of dremel, but after adding a couple 120mm fans to the left-hand side of the case, it's no longer crashy while the GPU is running.
Of course, now the stupid thing actually makes noise, but then so do Xboxes.
