I upgraded this evening the VIA 4in1 driver and ATI CATALYST driver on the latest box I built. I ran 3D Mark 2001 build 330 when I had the 4in1 4.43 and CATALYST 2.4 and it gave me a score of 7167 with an ATI Radeon 8500LE 64MB. Now, with the latest version of both drivers, the score has climbed to 7567 3D Marks. 400 points with two simple driver updates. This is probably mainly due to the VIA Hyperion that is supposed to give up to a 7% boost by its own on certain applications.
VIA's FTP server is currently quite busy, but if you're able to grab the new "Hyperion", it's a nice way to improve the performances of your rig for cheap (If you own a VIA-based motherboard, of course).
This is the same computer than the one I listed in the thread about the WD600JB BTW, in case you were wondering about its specifications.
