Well, I don't pay much attention to Windows product pages at microsoft.com, but I did notice this.

By-and-large looks like a drop-in replacement for *nix in NAS devices, but I do notice some interesting stuff about iSCSI support and data recovery by restore points (like XP's restore point stuff).

It seems to me that MS main goal with Server 2003.nut was/is to fight Linux/Unix on its own ground, contering most of its strenghts over past Windows versions.

It was around last year, in the form of Windows 2K Embedded for storage devices. Maxtor uses it.
