XP Explorer: Drive Comments?

Is there a way to add comments to a drive in the My Computer view of Explorer?

You mean other than renaming it to something useful? (Right-click, rename)

Right. Other than renaming it. I name all my volumes, but I just noticed that one of the sorting columns available in My Computer is "Comments". With files it's easy to add a comment. With drives, there seems to be no way, but the field is available, making me wonder if I've missed something.

I notice comments is already filled out for control panel. Making me think that they don't expose it for us.

You could try to hack the registry.
