I am omnipresent
Geese are pretty obnoxious in the poop department, too. I don't think you'd like pinkie-finger-sized goose poops all over whereever you kept 'em.

When I was growing up, every Spring and Fall, a pair of Malard ducks (a male and female) would stay in our in-ground pool for about a month. It's quite common in this area, and our neighbor had their own pair that would stay in their pool. The first year or two, they were a little nervous about getting too close, especially because of our dog, but after that they became more and more relaxed. Eventually, they knew they could trust us and even our dog, who often ignored them. We could walk right up to them, and they seemed to recognize us. One year we saw that the female had laid some eggs, but, unfortunately, a raccoon got to them. They came back every Spring and Fall for at least ten years, until my parents sold the house about 3 years ago. I'm sure that they still return there every year.

Yes, and they appear to be loyal to one mate. I've noticed a number that seem to always be in the same spot on the stream, leading into the lake/pond we have.

As for the Geese poop, yes, that's one of the nice things you don't have to worry about at our little lake:cleaning up after them...

These are my work shoes :

But they are quite old (three years) and they are more gray than black now. Since I no longer need anti-static shoes, I plan to replace them soon with this :

I like Terra boots. They are polyvalent and serve their dual-purpose well.

We should start a new thread

Never heard of Terra boots, but the Caterpillars are pretty good. The ones in that photo have been used almost daily for near three years. They need a good waxing but other than that they get better with time IMO.

Last year I bought another pair, this time in grey leather but it will take a few months or even a year to run them in and get them nice and comfy so I only wear them occasionally for short periods, just to let my regular pair dry out and get some air.

Thanks

Today she jumped on the bathroom door's handle, opened the door, lifted the wall to wall carpet and ripped the plaster tiles off and hid it under my flatmate's bed. We caught her on her fourth run (she already put three of them under the bed.)

She also likes pulling the toilet roll down and ripping it to shreds, spreading the chewed up remains all over the house.

Amazing what mischeif they can get up to in 5 minutes
