    Up to date Malware Removal

Every time I've played with policies at a personal level, I just burned myself repeatedly by forgetting what policies I've done and then later finding some subtlety that I didn't anticipate which produces a bunch of diagnostic time wasted. When I've done business policies everything is...

That is a real useful device. I''d never heard of something like it.

Anand of Anandtech calls it quits....

I am actually very surprised he didn't just sell the site much earlier. I expected it shortly after he finished college and it was obvious in the content of articles he published around then that several major players were obviously courting him to join their team. Then there was the tech boom...

Intel Haswell-E (X-99 chipset) processors reviews.

Woop-dee-do another 6-20% speed increase over previous equivalent models (unless you have very specific needs) and with that you have to replace the MB, RAM, and cooling system which effectively kills the upgrade market. Without a competitive AMD there just isn't the imperative for Intel to...

    Earthquake

There have been multiple significant local earthquakes over the time period. I would argue that most that were deathtraps have already fallen down or been fixed

    Earthquake

I didn't even notice one and I live on the west coast (Oregon). I had to Google it to find that it was a 6.0 centered on San Francisco. I had thought that California had building standards that would have made it effectively uneventful. Obviously, I was wrong.

    Forum restored back to 4.x

Sorry it didn't work out well and you ended up wasting a bunch of your time. The normal assumption is that a version upgrade is an improvement but unfortunately sometimes it does not work out that way.

    Thank You Google Fiber

I've had a lot more Comcast internet outages than power outages, where I'm at. I assume they are planned because every single one that has occurred was after 12 AM and resolved before 6 AM.

    Thank You Google Fiber

Comcast: in theory I'm supposed to get 50/3 but in actuality it is much closer to 25/2 for $65. I rarely need that much BW but the next step down is just plain too low at 1.5/.8 for $30. Of course, like most everywhere else the alternatives have significant issues that make them either...

Folding uses little PCI-e bandwidth. a 4x slot works fine and you lose little if any folding performance. because of it.

Maxwell's (GTX 750 Ti's) certainly has very good potential but currently has OpenCL driver issues that haven't been addressed by Nvidia yet. That being said, there is supposedly a fix found for Core_17, but that fix isn't working with Core_18 nor ocores which are the in future. At the moment...

Nvidia uses so much CPU because they decided to use polling of the OpenCl driver to determine if it is ready for more work (Yuk). AMD's drivers are interrupt driven, so no polling is needed producing far less CPU usage. On a modern CPU AMD uses 0-2% of a single core which most people consider...
