I'm having problems with Arcsoft. Not on the actual play of disc images or Blurays but on shutting down. It won't. Sticks at program not responding. It also isn't great on dual monitors. I'll try it in the other room on the HTPC.

What are they using the computers for? The new i5's use about half the power of the i7's and as stated are generally faster. As a person who lives in a state where power consumption is expensive I might be bothered if my energy bill went up considerably when the new processors are so green.

I do have to say that the Kentucky keyboard is growing on me. For the money it is a fantastic value. The condoms are breaking in and I hardly notice them. They do catch a bunch of stuff you would otherwise never notice was getting into your keyboard until it's too late.

I can't say which is the best. I have had a Panasonic 32" LED from Costco. I could not tell much difference between the LED 27" Samsung monitors and the 32" panel. Be careful if power is an issue. The 32" TV drew nearly 60W of power. The 27" 20 W. I find the 37" sort of a price/value sweet spot.

I'll have a look. This was the same board that the other processor died in, exhibiting the same symptoms. Eventually the memory controller on the chip went. Something on the board is causing this or it's the chips time to die. No more trying to fix it. I am about ready to go for a new setup.

There are not many LED's available. I have sampled two. I was specific to those two. I am not making any generalizations. You are drawing conclusions unsupported by my comments.

Now the HTPC, which didn't start for awhile, is starting up everytime. :scratchinghead: icon needed. So, until I'm sure it's dead I'll let the parts prices go down and the bios fixes come out. In other words let the rest of the market do the beta work for the companies.
