PowerDVD 10 ultra died. I uninstalled it, reinstalled 8, then it died.

My two copies of 9 won't install due to various issues.

I'm pretty much sick of it.

I'm trying the Arcsoft Media Home Theatre five on trial. It's been OK, except it doesn't like shutting down.

Anyone used it much, comments?

I would love to stop using any Cyberlink products, if possible.

I just installed PowerDVD 12 on an HTPC. I hate it, but Media Player Classic Homecinema won't correctly decode stereoscopic (3D) .MKV files to the projector.

Arcsoft's Blu-Ray software works fine for DVD, HD-DVD, and Blu-Ray playback. No complaints there. I don't like it for media file playback. For whatever reason you can't do SPDIF / HDMI raw audio pass through when playing a .mkv or whatever. It will only do software audio decoding.

I'm having problems with Arcsoft. Not on the actual play of disc images or Blurays but on shutting down. It won't. Sticks at program not responding.
It also isn't great on dual monitors. I'll try it in the other room on the HTPC.
