I'm actually considering selling all my L-series lenses in preference to a simple point & shoot. Over the years I have found that I just don't take that many pictures anymore. The hobby isn't as appealing to me as it used to be. The one true benefit of buying high-end lenses is that they do...

    The New Power Supply Thread

I started out a big believer in splitters but over the years I've changed my mind. Repeatedly, I've had very bad experiences with splitters. They become intermittent connectors over time resulting in lots of time lost diagnosing problems that are not real HW failures but rather just...

I'd swear that old vintage desktops of that era were much more reliable then modern machines. Back then computers were expensive and expected to last. Now days the expectation is for a 2 year lifespan and are cheap enough that they are considered disposable items. I suppose that as...

What GPU? I don't know what GPU you are running but for older GPU's the server that handles them went down on Aug. 26 and hasn't yet come back on line. PG knows of the problem and has said it is working on a fix. That being said, I suspect that it isn't a high priority since they have also...

I'm using PC Power and Cooling Silencer 750 Quad on everything. Not perfect because they are big, relatively loud, over powered, and you can get more efficient now. However, I bought a whole bunch of them at $79 each, from a retailer that had an excessive number of them, which was a very good...

    ASUS problems

I have no problem receiving bad MB's. I use them to store old working but no longer used cards. I sit the MB's on 12 inch deep shelves and then fill up their slots. My theory is that the MB slots ground them so that static is less of a problem. It is also much easier to find any card that I...

    MS's Nokia acquisition

Consider yourself lucky that that is the only damage. With an event like that, It would be very easy to lose control and for very bad things happen. You might want to have the front end examined for damage and re-aligned.
