    Barracuda ATA V announced

Conclusion: The ATA-100 Barracuda ATA V is a package that delivers more or less what one would expect from Seagate's continued evolution of the series. Though it improves slightly upon the performance delivered by the 'Cuda ATA IV, the V is not a breakneck speed leader. It does, however, combine...

    Just tried Netscape 7.0

One of the reasons I like IE6 is its seemless integration with the web authoring tool FrontPage 2002. Updating the content of my personal domain takes a snap. It's an on-the-fly procedure rendered even easier if your host service provides FrontPage 2002 Extensions.

Intel vs. AMD? ATI vs. nVidia?

Ditto. I used to have MSI and I praised their innovating mobo, albeit some instability issues. Performance is also more than adequate.

Intel vs. AMD? ATI vs. nVidia?

As for the graphics adapter... I don't believe there is a clear winner either. Currently nVIDIA is much more penetrating in the games market but for the time being, and at least till Christmas, ATI will have the edge on performance and features with its current 9000 series. Isn't AIW9700 a...

Intel vs. AMD? ATI vs. nVidia?

Actually I would be very careful NOT to choose anything but a VIA-based mobo for an Athlon box. SiS is a company with zeniths and nadirs... I wouldn't trust them, as I wouldn't trust yet a nForce2 product unless really competitively priced. Long have gone the days where we were lamenting...

Although I tend to like IBM drives, let's wait for results first. I have my hopes on this drive too, time, but... after the 75GXP everything IBM is so volatile I'm afraid. And Coug... I prefer a 50% difference is sound levels and heat than 5% in performance... says all.
