    A7N8X S-ATA questions

i would try a "boot other" or "boot future"... or last but not least "boot SCSI" in the boot order... Don't know if all (or any) of Silicon Images controllers support ATAPI because I really have no experience with them... however, it never hurts to try. My guess is that it will work, but why...

I'd have to say I'm somewhere between "Once a week whether I need to or not" and "re-wha-?" I have some machines that I never reboot purposely... usually a thunderstorm or my bungling will cause the power to momentarily drop and the machines will reboot... I'm having a hard time getting past 3...

    V-Box Problem

i think it's probably not a memory problem... maybe it's a problem wiht the NIC or the drivers.. or just win95 networking in general... you say you changed the HDD but cant make any software changes? is it possible you can just keep the old HDD with the old software on it and reformat to winNT...

    2 Nforce2 or ¬ 2 Nforce2

i've seen people who had the "corrupted" BIOS problem... both did the same thing and got the same problem... one person chose to hold down the insert key and it resolved the problem... the other chose to replace his BIOS (and made no mention of trying to hold down insert) and fixed the...

    2 Nforce2 or ¬ 2 Nforce2

i wonder if all these problems are being caused by stupid overclockers... not that overclockers are inherently stupid, but these guys might be of the inexperienced "joe six pack" variety. Of the problems I have seen(through message boards) with the Nforce2 they involve overclocking... either...

Dont worry 'bout it. I like the dialog we have here. I didn't want the war, but I think we may have gone too far to stop now. If we attack Iraq, what will happen to us? It's up to the programmer to take the time to do it right. If cross-platform programming is important to what they're writing then it *can* be accomplished... of course they can program something that will only run under a specific OS... the point is that if they're interested they can break...

Java's good for some things, c++ for others... and of course scripting languages for yet more uses... there's a reason why Java is popular, and that's because it fills a niche (cross-platform language for both applications and applets) better than anything else.
