i think it's probably not a memory problem... maybe it's a problem wiht the NIC or the drivers.. or just win95 networking in general... you say you changed the HDD but cant make any software changes? is it possible you can just keep the old HDD with the old software on it and reformat to winNT...

i saw a hdd enclosure for $80 i think... had fins like that all around... was rated for 7200rpm operation I believe... but i dont believe it soundsed as thermally intelligent as your design. Home depot(or was it Lowes) has square tubing... i would assume you could cut it length-wise to end up...

It's up to the programmer to take the time to do it right. If cross-platform programming is important to what they're writing then it *can* be accomplished... of course they can program something that will only run under a specific OS... the point is that if they're interested they can break...

The diference is more like the difference between a 4 door sedan and a 2 seater convertable... They are 2 different monsters. cross-platform just doesn't work like what? it's very important for applets to be cross platform... but it's also nice when applications can run in linux the same as...

i had a loud PSU fan in a cheap allied/deer unit i purchased with a case.. I just 7volt modded the fan and all is good.

i dont think it's too expensive... I would venture to say $30 or so.. maybe $40.. if you have a DV cam, this is convenient.. if you have multiple media types in your digital cameras this is great.
