Doesn't WD still intentionally prevent you from using their drives in RAID by messing with the firmware so they'll drop from arrays? In effect forcing you to buy their RAID Edition drives?
What controller are you going to use?
Edit: Newegg has these for $225.99 after promocode ESCKNKW28 when...
So our company IT person didn't know or understand what PoE (Power over Ethernet) is. They sent us VOIP phones and it needs a 48V brick because we don't have PoE here. I fruitlessly tried to explain that if we had a PoE switch we could dump the 48V brick. He insisted that it would work...
Well, the answer depends on how many WiFi clients are using the same access point at the same time, what each one is actually doing, other nearby access points on the same or a partially overlapping channel, other 2.4gHz interference, etc.
I don't really have a problem with Fry's. They have some good deals. They're often hard to get from the website because it seems like they have an intentionally very limited inventory. Sending the promo codes out after the sale starts doesn't help either. People who signed up for the promo...
Speed of the internet over WiFi or just LAN traffic? Either way, I don't expect you can get more than about half. If you have any "B" devices on the WLAN you're not even going to get that.
You can't buy a CPU with cash at Microcenter and give them an address you don't actually live at? I've never had to buy more than one of their CPU deals, so this isn't a problem I've personally encountered.
$71.47 for 6gB a month after taxes and fees and the like. It's just their regular published $60 plan.
AFAIK, Ting's GSM network is T-Mobile, so you could plug in your wife's usage into their calculator and see how much it would cost you per month that way. I'm thinking to move the 4 line...
It seems okay so far. I don't have any complaints. By default the phones support calling over WiFi, so at home and at work it uses WiFi, not their LTE network. However, the LTE signal strength is good in both locations.
Fry's cracks me up. I see this "bargain" in today's ad. So half the size for 80% of the cost of the 64gB Pro+ deal mentioned above that they had going on Friday & Saturday. Oh yeah, it's the same price as Adorama's regular price too.
No, it's an errant shipment. F.Y.E. responded to my e-mail and said they're going to e-mail me a shipping label to send it back along with instructions on how to mark the box, etc.
*cough* Libre Office */cough*
What sort of Microsoft account does it want? The Windows 8/10 account variety can be setup without getting a text message.
Yesterday USPS decided to deliver me an errant package. It has a shipping label for me on it, but I didn't order a $400 "hoverboard" scooter from F.Y.E. http://www.fye.com/s/product/4044477/
It looks like their fulfillment center in KY, which they share with a number of other companies...
I wish I lived near a Fry's. They have a 2 day in-store only promo (with the stupid daily e-mail promo code [from Friday]) for a 64GB Samsung Pro+ microSDXC card for $25. Limit 2. They're not even in stock most places and are at least 50% more $ than that.
Well, you got me... The "bad" keyboard works normally with my personal laptop and HTPC (both Win 7). It doesn't power down after 5 seconds and lose key presses. To make sure it didn't magically fix itself during the drive home or carrying it to the car I tried it again with the Yoga 3 Pro and...
Since I know everyone cares, it's a Panasonic RX-E300. Quite swanky for a boombox. Bi-amped speakers, auto-reverse, Dolby B, & full logic controls on the tape deck.
I tested a different identical model MS Wired Keyboard 200 with the Yoga 3 Pro at home yesterday and it did not power off or sleep after 5 seconds. So I took that "good" keyboard into the office to try it. It still works fine with the USB 3.0 hub and other peripherals here. Now I'm going to...
Yeah, you're probably right. They don't see much of anything on this forum that is going to drive additional purchases from people for things sold by Amazon. This of course presumes that is the goal of the program.
So T-Mobile is not off to a great start. :cursin: I bought the phone and signed up for my service plan on 12/3. In the evening no less... They are trying to bill me for a full month's service for a billing period ending 12/4.
Edit: I called customer service and I admit I'm still...
So using the USB 3.0 hub didn't change the behavior. I'm going to try one of my identical model keyboards that I have at home and see if it behaves the same way.
It has two USB ports (both 3.0). Swapping the keyboard to the other port didn't help. My powered USB 3.0 hub is supposed to be delivered by Amazon today. I'll give that a shot tomorrow.
So I haven't swapped the keyboard or tried another one, but I think I've found the pattern to when it misses key presses. If you're trying to type something right at the 5 second mark as it's going to sleep it will miss the key press.
Well, I wasn't necessarily thinking of animated wallpapers or something that would fetch a new one every 30 minutes or anything. However, now I see I can just download some images from Interfacelift.com that will fill the bill.
I'm testing out CamCard. I've only used it twice, so I don't have much feedback yet. I also didn't want to create some sort of online account with them, so as I understand it the OCR quality is not as good.
Also, do any of you use a wallpaper app? Or, where do you get your Android wallpapers...
Does anyone use business card "reader" software? The sort of thing where you photograph the card and it pulls all the information off it. If so, any recommendations?
That setting didn't change the observed behavior. Unless it needed a reboot to become effective. I guess I could try swapping this keyboard for one at home to make sure it's not this specific keyboard.
