    Which Socket 7 board?

Hi all, I've got plenty of spares lying around from work, enough to make a system out of. I'm thinking of making one and giving it to my sister as she doesn't have a computer at the moment and I'm sure she wouldn't mind one to surf the net on. Basically I need to find some sort of AT case and...

Wierd. I'm sure what they're suggesting can't be done - I used to run SETI and know for a fact that duplicate WUs are not credited - I don't know how they calculate the accuracy with three identical units but I've tried in the past and it didn't work

    Dog

What a complete twat!! I would suggest thinking of ways to get back at him. I don't know how, but there must be something you can do, like smash his car up, or cut the brakes, or get a bunch of the meanest dogs that wouldn't even notice a gun shot to tear him apart. Yes I'm serious.

    Folding@Home

and the F @ H project comes across as more primitive that SETI It certainly is. When will someone make something like Seti driver?? I mean, an exact cole with all the functionality and layout? :x

    Metric or not?

    Metric or not?

Thats everywhere. Everything in mm except the width of the wheel itself and the diameter of the wheel or tyre. Offset is also measured in mm. Around 15 years back, Michelin tried to push metric measurements on the tyre market , but those tyres also required new wheels to go with them as they...

    Metric or not?

I prefer metric all the way. I can still remember around 10 years back when we first moved to the UK for short time, my mum asked the guy at the supermarket how much do these tomatos weigh, he said one pound, then she said "yes but how much do they weigh?" LOL...

    Whoops, must have been asleep

You sure he's worth beating with a SCSI drive? Hmm, there was an ancient Conner full height SCSI drive and a Seagate Hawk, but I didn't take them. The IBMs I can get many of as we dismantled a couple of SANs and each had 6 of them... hmm... should I do him a favour and use the IBMs? OK, well...

Thermal compound on new heat sinks

Hah, a friend of mine who's pretty much clueless bought an XP2000 and didn't use any grease on it. The heatsink he used did have a thermal pad on it though. A month later it died and he took it back to the shop. They told him they couldn't replace it because he didn't use grease on it (after...
