Based on the marketing strategies of the major resellers, there is a very popular item sold at deep discounts (called a "loss leader") that is a good deal. Their hope is that you will also buy other stuff, which isn't discounted nearly as much. If they have targeted something that you want, and...

question What are the pros and cons of enabling the fan speed control function in BIOS setup?

Faster fans will keep things cooler, and that is a good thing. The downsides are as follows: More noise More dust in the case Faster fan wear Noise is my biggest complaint, but if that doesn't matter to you, I would be wary of how much dust gets in there.

Ah, that sounds like it is beyond my ability to test. If it isn't, let me know what to do.

I'm a big fan of the "wet room" configuration, so having the toilet that close just makes it easier to clean ;) The weight bench (and even the bathtub) are out due to weight considerations. I've attached the floorplan.

At home now I have a high-end projector and a 92" screen. It hasn't been on for nearly a year. That is where we spend all our time when we aren't with the...

Like I said, I set the bar (for myself) pretty high at the start. I actually am pretty happy that that is the best thing someone who stays with us can complain about. When we started the rebuild we wanted a place that was a similar to a high-end B&B as possible in feel and comfort. Slowly making...

The idea first started after one of our regular walks around Carmel-by-the-Sea. We were looking at the different lots and discussing what we would do there. All of them had issues and all of them were high-7-figures. I suspect that such a craft could be constructed for ~$5 million and...

I consider Ultrasharps to be the best of the non-reference-class screens. At any particular moment there may be another that offers similar quality, but you don't need to do the research with the Us, they just are good and have the features you might want. And that is a great price. Still...
