What were you worst computer related mistakes made?

There's nothing wrong in using a machine till it's useful (!). The last two machines I built were used for 7 years (still going when I gave it away) and 6 years (it died). It indicates you selected good components and built the machine properly.

Emps should be made to understand quality is not an add-on or bolt-on function. At one place I worked, I had major arguments with an Exec VP on this topic. He wanted to set up a massive QA function. I disagreed, saying quality should be intrinsic to the work. When I asked him who would QA the...

So much for progress, eh? My order for flashlights was canceled by Fenix-Store.com after charging my credit card (they credited back). Reason: bill-to address outside USA, ship-to address to California. I protested, saying I had used a one-time-use CC #, so how could it be fraud. Answer: we...

    I'm retiring

Congrats, Bozo, you sure deserve it after a long innings. Make sure you have a hobby that keeps you occupied. Doing nothing eats into you like nothing else does! If you have the space (I think you do), gardening is a great idea. It connects you back to your roots and to the earth in a unique way.

If those batts were not LSD, they probably self-discharged at a super-high rate. I always thought NiMH batts (the HSD ones) were crap, and when I bought Eneloops I gave them away to someone that wanted them. Some 30-40 of them.

That's the fastest, sure-shot way to kill them thar batteries. It's not that difficult or time consuming to use the Maha. I have some new, unused Eneloops bought in 2007 (left untouched) that I reconditioned a couple of days ago with the Maha and they're now at 99% of nominal (max) capacity...

I did a lot of homework and ordered, among others, the Sunwayman D40 Neutral and the Zebralight SC52w Neutral White. The Zebralight SC52W and the Olight S15 seem too close to each other in terms of output; you may want to get one or the other instead of both. Same applies to the Romisen and...
