    Water cooled, i7 860 for 1099.???

Actually that's pretty impressive at the 800 rpm setting. 26 over ambient with 125W load at 34db, basically silent.

    Water cooled, i7 860 for 1099.???

Yup that wouldn't be the first time a company has claimed "water cooling" when it's just using a bloody heatpipe heatsink. Would be a complete waste on such an entry level machine

    Socket G34, 12 cores @ 1.9 GHz or 8 cores at 2.4 GHz?

Water cooling is certainly a better option when dealing with cards in the power range of the 5970. Let's you take that heat plus the CPU(s) and disperse it into a radiator cooled with slow running 120mm or larger fans. Benefits are far lower noise levels and higher overclocking headroom...

If you need something now, then the Droid is a great option. However, at a price of $600+ this truly is an investment rather than a free after rebate or 2 for $99 special. In your case I would wait it out for a few months. Strong competition is doing wonders to the marketplace.

So it is formatted as FAT32 or NTFS? The drive itself is backwards compatible, in a transparent manner. Of course you can check this when you verify that you can in fact restore successfully. Always best to check out how things work in practice before they are needed in times of crisis.

Yeah I don't know if I would go with 5 projectors. If you had room for a rear projection setup perhaps. Windows 7 nonsense

Gigabit Ethernet includes in the spec functionality that does the crossover for you, in the event that you direct connect two NICs. With 10/100 ethernet, you do need crossover cables. For gig speeds Cat5E would be the minimum you would want, and cat 6 for a longer run to be safe.
