What I'm not going to do tonight

Why was the 22nd amendment passed in the first place? I assume there must have been good reasons put forward to limit the number of terms of the presidency. If there were, what has changed between now and then? In other words, why has the situation that caused A22 to be implemented now...

    Memory Question

Yes. What you are seeing is two channels with the ability to have two DIMMs per channel. This is only to facilitate mamory expansion. When only one DIMM slot is populated, the data path looks like: NB -> Slot 1 -> NB. With both DIMM slots populated, you can view the data path as: NB ->...

    Memory Question

Interleaving is not dependent upon the number of DIMM's in a system, it is dependent upon the internal configuration of the chips themselves. http://www.realworldtech.com/page.cfm?ArticleID=RWT110401204523

Hmmm.Just tried this on my P!!!-600 320MB RAM FF & no extensions on Win98SE CPU is 1% according to Process Explorer, so the Flash bug isn't getting to this machine—which re-inforces my thought about this issue being AMD specific. But that raises the interesting question of why you are seeing...

Possible solution. I remember reading about how AMD processors seem to have an issue with Flash/Shockwave. I use Flashblock. I uninstalled Flashblock and restarted Firefox. Now with the same three windows open, FF usage is switches between 8~21% of an X2 with memory usage of 32 564KB. If...

So? If you all think it is a "craptacular application design", that is your choice. I say that you are targetting the wrong thing, as it is changeable, it is a default choice, not a design decision, and, not everybody experiences this issue, so it probably isn't even a design issue at all. It...

Not necesarily. All things being equal, I'll take more power thanks. Under light throttle loads, a more highly tuned engine can be more fuel efficient, as a way to increase power is to decrease frictional losses or another is to improve fuel/air mixture/butn ratios -> the net result being more...

NTOSKRNL.exe fails when playing demanding games.

NTOSKRNL.exe fails when playing demanding games.

Video drivers were pulled into the NT kernel when NT moved from 3.5/3.51 to 4.0. It was done to increase compatability and allow faster hardware access, but it does decrease stability. You'll probably find that the BSOD is probably game/maybe level/card/video BIOS specific.

Crazy butcher goes on axing frenzy on Opteron's prices

My understanding of new production ramps (like bringing a new fab online, or bringing a new process online, e.g. 65 nm) is that yields will be O.K. at the lower speed bins. As the process/fab becomes more mature, then you getter higher yields of faster parts. It looks like the lower speed bins...

No the OPN is only on the heatspreader, you'd have to take the heatsink off to read it. 3700+ chips were originally FX-51's that were old stock, hence "Clawhammer" core. The SD core is relatively new. You wouldn't be the first one caught out this way. But it all seems to be irrelevant as...
