I believe Lexar released something of the sort recently, you can stack multiple readers. I'm guessing the laptop doesn't have any PS/2 ports.

The standard Maxtor 160GB SATA drive in my SA8300HD STB is quite capable of recording two HD streams, whilst playing back a previously recorded third HD stream. The drive can make a fair racket when doing three streams. I have yet to see a STB that can record from more than two tuners...

It seems "Premium" has a 512Kb upload limit. Given the cost of around $70 per month, it hardly seems a worthwhile upgrade from standard RR. Maybe if they increase the upload to 756Kb. What are your upload speeds like JoJo? And any bandwidth caps?

What OS? Maybe try another disc to rule out dodgy media. I dunno about the gigabyte but the MSI neo2 apparently likes SATA drives on SATA connector 3 when overclocking, if that makes any sense.

Only thing I use is EVU to set white balance, otherwise just EOS Capture to tell it where to save the images.

Ouch! We shoot in JPEG, only use RAW for white balance setting etc. Next week I can compare performance of a Nocona 2.8 to an Athlon 64 at hopefully 2.4GHz.
