    Traveling Wireless

Yes. I have one of those. They work, but their range isn't fantastic. The do have flexible firmware that allows them to be used as range extenders or 802.11 to ethernet bridges though, so at least there's some extra utility.

Not in my experience they don't. You need Nero or Roxio or Ulead software to extract the video if absolutely any edits (e.g. commercial skips or multiple titles on the same disc) have been made on the discs.

Actually, those things don't work great. Those things make a weirdo disc called a DVD-VR that has very limited compatibility with anything other than another set-top recorder.

    SuperMicro Blade Servers

Why not an Intel-branded system? Bozo has certainly expressed reservations about Supermicro parts recently and with Intel OEM stuff you know there's a serious support organization behind it. If you're going to roll your own systems they're probably at least worth a look.

I probably will move at least a couple machines to Windows 8. I dislike the Metro interface, but I use Windows 8 on my work desktop and I really don't notice it very much unless I'm trying to figure out what the fuck they did with something that used to be in Control Panel. I still spend all my...

    2TB drives under the duopoly

It's a JBOD. I assume that in traditional JBOD fashion, it will write the disk #0 in the array first and until that drive is full, then move on to writing on disk #1, then #2 and so on. That's what JBODs do. Given your concerns about data integrity, it's probably not a good answer for you.

    2TB drives under the duopoly

I played with the trial version last night. What I can say right now is that it makes a quasi-JBOD where the disks can maintain their identity as an independent drives or be addressed as a unique volume. Drives that already have content merge into a single directory structure within the volume...

    Firefox 11.0 is out.

I would think that testing across different video hardware would be sufficient to determine that the problem is not with specific video acceleration features. Hilariously, Flash works about as well as ever on Linux (i.e. not well, but better than Windows has been for the last few months).

I've removed Flash from all my Windows machines. I stooped to using Opera, since it uses the same Plugin as Firefox to see if it's a specific issue with Mozilla software. It's not. It's also not a video driver issue since I've tried all three of nVidia, Intel and ATI-based systems. I don't know...

The third film in the first volume of the Spider-Man franchise was very poorly received. I really didn't care for Dark Knight Rises. Technet Advice

I don't think the changes are quite that severe. Activated copies of Windows and Office should maintain their activated status even after the license expires. I base that on how I know MSAA stuff works. You just won't be able to activate new copies on keys that come from a lapsed Technet account.
