    First and last ASUS MB

About a year ago I bought a ASUS P4C800E-Deluxe motherboard. This thing came with all the bells and whistles plus a large price tag. Problems started with the memory. Using memory from the ASUS recommended list the board wouldn't boot. I returned that memoryand tried some Crucial. I installed...

Very interesting....... The computers I build are for a manufacturing business. They either control or monitor a manufacturing process. Time is money, therefor reliability is paramount. The latest computers contain: Intel D915GEV motherboards. Intel P4, 3.0 GHz CPU. Crucial RAM, usually 1 GB...

What do you think about LitePC : XPlite?

I've used XPLite also. It works as advertised. You can really clean windows out. Using XPLite to shrink XP, making an image of the results and then put that image on the IRam PCI card would be the bee's knees. Bozo :mrgrn:

What anti-spyware anti-adware combos do you use nowadays?

I have been using TOR and Privoxy for a couple weeks. Web sites are completely void of advertisments. No pop ups at all. Of course, no cookies either which means I must log into places like SF manually. I ran AdAware when I installed TOR and Privoxy and again last night. It found 3 items. Maybe...

New SATA II hard drive...16Mb cache

I've been reading SR and here for a few years now and have some very non-scientific observations: It all depends on who you talk to and when.
