Don't bother installing F@H on the P2. You'll just waste electricity. I'm not even sure it could complete a single 241 point unit in less than a week. An Athlon 1600+ is good enough to have a real impact on your stats though.

    SR Reviews Samsung SpinPoint P120

It looks like a nice drive. A little bit behind for its I/O in games, but overall it's very good. The low noise and power consumption/dissipation makes it perfect for HTPC. SR's conclusion for reliability is made from a too small sample pool to determine anything. A single unlucky buyer that...

Currently, the P4 2.8E would top the Athlon 64 3200+ because of the reasons Mark explained above. My poor little P4 505J (2.66GHz/533MHz FSB) is giving me the edge over Doug and his dual-core X2 3800+, so a 2.8E will certainly defeat a single core Athlon 64 3200+.

I thought about the Antec Overture II enclosure, but this guy said that the PSU fan is quite loud. Too bad, it would have allow you to fit a full-size ATX mainboard. No go. I guess the only way to have a really silent box is to buy a mammoth-size Antec P180 and use a Seasonic PSU, but that's...

[NEWS] - AMD planning to move to LGA

One of the problems of the LGA775 for Intel CPUs is that the most common type, the one made by Foxcon IIRC, doesn't press on the processor equally and therefore, one side ends up being very slightly higher than the other. The result is less than perfect contact with the bottom of the heatsink...
