    Mozilla.org releases Phoenix 0.1

Early this afternoon, I found that Phoenix was much slower to load pages on Anandtech than Mozilla. Don't know why. It seemed to hang mostly when loading images.

    Mozilla.org releases Phoenix 0.1

Phoenix is a browser based on Mozilla, but with a thrimmer interface. There are still a few quirks here and there, but so far (half an hour of use), I like it. Version 0.2 is also supposed to come out soon. Version 0.1 still takes 8MB of space, but once they'll have done most of the code...

    Antec SLK2600AMB short review

I found the bag of screws...after I was finished installing the motherboard. There's a bracket on the plastic slot protector that can be removed and give access to a small cavity within the plastic piece. This is where they put the damn bag of screws. Would have it been that hard to just tape...

    Antec SLK2600AMB short review

I received today the new budget Antec enclosure I told you about in a previous thread. The SLK2600AMB comes with a 300W power supply with only one fan (but with temp monitoring nonetheless) and unlike most other Antec cases, no included fans. When I first lifted the case out of the box, I...

Asus A7M266-D with audio and LAN, how good compared to TYAN?

The above is the raw, un-previewed version of my post. I accidentaly hit "submit" instead of "preview". You can now all have an idea of my (poor) real-time written english quality.

Asus A7M266-D with audio and LAN, how good compared to TYAN?

Thank you Clocker. I'll stick to the TYAN then. Primordial means paramount...in french. I wasn't sure if it meant the same in both languages (like many other words) and I didn't had the time to look for the correct term. Timwhit, I currently don't have much time to test hardware and I'm...

Asus A7M266-D with audio and LAN, how good compared to TYAN?

I can get the Asus 760MPX-based for 10$CDN less than the TYAN S2466N-4M I highly consider. The reason why I'm interested about the Asus (or Azoose? ;) ) is because of its overclocking features and because I could save around 90$CDN with overclocked MP 1800+ instead of MP 2000+ at stock...

Dog poo lands robber 10-year jail term

??? You have a law preventing criminal to use a motor vehicule during their crime? I fail to see how a robber who flee in a car is worst than another who flee on foot. If he drives his vehicule like a mad, then yes, but here we have laws for dangerous driving violations. Charging someone...

I'm not saying that putting a drive into a computer system will morph it into a snail. But it will be slightly slower for most disk intensive tasks. Depending on the tasks the user will do, it might or might not be perceivable. Net browsing and messing with small Office documents won't show...
