There is security there. It looks like you have to provide a password. But it's still pretty trivial since we all know the defaults.

Moving XP x64 to new RAID array on different SATA controller

SD, there was a big jump in functionality between TrueImage 11 and the 2010 version. I know 2010 supports more RAID stuff. I don't know if it would help in your situation but I did want to mention the fact that the program has changed a bit since then.

Re: OpenFiler - My requirements are for one server. Space is a factor, because these offices weren't laid out to support any sort of data closet or area for any network infrastructure more serious than a cable modem and AP screwed to a wall. Because I need .ASP and Sharepoint, I'm forced to do...

Anyone have a suggestion on a new washing machine?

I've had the same black tie tied for 10 or 12 years. I keep it in my car. I've needed to wear it maybe twice since the year 2000.

Windows Home Server / Home Server OS

The market for what, exactly? They have Windows Storage Server for appliances. I've tried and tried to get home and small business users interested in WHS. It's a total non-starter.

Anyone have a suggestion on a new washing machine?

For the most part, if you're needing to use the delicate setting on a washing machine, you're probably way better off hand washing it with Woolite or letting a dry cleaner do it. For me, everything goes in the machine on the warm water setting. I pay $1 to have my button down shirts dry cleaned...

Windows Home Server / Home Server OS

Apparently WHS is losing its only interesting feature for the next release. I was toying with the idea of setting up a WHS machine to deal with the mismatched collection of large drives I have sitting around and to provide some relief for my overburdened file servers, but now that looks like a...

PC Gaming = World of Suck

Fallout 3 wound up being a huge disappointment. Not enough tile sets or different bad guys to fight and it just wasn't very much like the other Fallout games. Anyway, as I said before, modern gaming is pretty barren to me. It's a damned shame now that we have such awesome hardware, but I can...

    RAID with mixed disk technology

No, not automatically. TrueImage can't do scripted restores, either. It's not a difficult process to restore, but it is a bit obnoxious because the Rescue/Boot Time environment has a different interface from the Windows program.

PC Gaming = World of Suck

It's not my fault that modern computer gaming is so terrible. Bad games. Horrible control schemes. Unacceptable copy protection. Assumptions of console behavior on vastly more capable hardware. I'm not seeing the good in anything that's been released in the last five years or so. Dragon Age...

    RAID with mixed disk technology

I've been able to get close with TrueImage. You can establish backups on a two hour threshold if you want. New versions of TrueImage have support for nonstop backup, but I haven't tried it out. Carbonite also does backup in real time.

I really don't think that the things Assange is doing are going to be good for his health. It might not happen immediately, but I don't think these stunts are compatible with a peaceful, long life. I really do think Wikileaks is doing something valuable. In the past it has hosted not just...

This is true and I have done it many times in the long-distant past (NT4 needed that a lot), but I'm not exactly sure that doing so will address your issue, which is why I suggested the repair install in the first place. I know it will work and it's relatively expedient.
