Cloning a 32 bit laptop Vista and converting to 64 bit Windows 7 Ultimate?

Hi I have a new roommate that does software development. He's done a ton of work on a 32 bit Vista laptop for a medical company, and, needs to clone the drive, and install it in a desktop machine. What cloning software would work, and, is there any way to move from Vista 32 bit to Windows 7 64...

Hi David I'm looking for a portable, fast laptop, like the IBM 201. If you have one used, you want to move, let me know. I have a software guy that needs a desktop, so likewise, if you have something to move, let me know. I'll present it to him, and see if he's up for it. Thanks Greg Santilli

question Transcend 16gb & 8gb pata ssd works great for my Thinkpad!

It's a lot of money for a tiny drive. I did a similar thing, buying two Kingspec 32 gig PATA drives. One works fine, runs aroun 70 MB/sec reads. The other really sucks, and, I'm thinking of taking it apart to find out if it's one of those Chinese drives with a real 4 gigs of memory, and two...

Liam: My home theatre PC is pretty close to that: AMD 64 3200+, 2 gigs of ram, XP Nvidia 9600GT, and boots from a Velociraptor as well. Funny thing was I tried running 64 bit windows, and had all kinds of driver problems with it, so went from an SSD with 64 bit, that didn't have drivers for...

My page showed one available. I went through the entire checkout process, and, it came up invalid product code. Went back to the page, and, it showed 0 inventory. By the way, I can't format the replacement SSD anymore, from Vertex.

If price is an issue, what about this: http://outlet.lenovo.com/laptops/thinkpad/2598rz1.html I'm considering it, just to be able to move to SATA, even though it's pretty much sideways, processor speed wise, and most everything else, from the CF-51.

SSDs - State of the Product?

X-25E was FAR too expensive. What's the warranty on the X-25M? 5 years. Considering the cost, I might well be dead before the drive wears out. If one breaks, I've kind of learned my lesson that even though you get huge through put, there is a point where bench marks are the only thing that can...

Samsung is hitting a new all time low: or the Syncmaster SA350LED

Guy at costco reminded me that the TV doesn't have the costco standard return policy, and, if it breaks, I'm SOL. So, I went with the Syncmaster P2770 27", and while it's not really the right size, if the 37" breaks, I could use it as a primary monitor without much problem.

    Computer Speakers

Klipsch makes a LOT of different speakers, some better then others. I listened to the subs, and the 12" was my favorite, value sound wise, even over the 14 and bigger. The Hereseys are pretty incredible speakers, and, with a powerful amp, they fill in and give a much broader range, then with a...

    Computer Speakers

The beauty of Klipsch has always been they can give excellent sound with low power from the amp. In the old days of 30-35 watt a channel amps, that was a big deal. Today, with 100-125 a channel, cheap, it's less so. That said, when I went to the Yamaha, I had a huge increase in sound quality...
