Thinkpad X120e is not coming to Aus. Ship date pushed back to March 8.

WOW. Sucktacular Passmark processor scores for that cpu:
AMD E-240 911
The upgrade to the E-350 is a good idea. Remember this a platform for balanced cpu/gpu + 6 hours of battery life. If you want an i7 with a huge passmark number and 1.5 hours of battery life the x120e is def not for you.
Barely tolerable doing what?I find that with my Cf-51's, and similar numbers, the laptop is really barely tolerable after working on current machines. That's with a SSD.
Yes, but it's offered in a 1600x900 screen instead of 1440x900 so, you're getting more pixels even if it is 16:9.The T420 has a 16:9 screen...
Who said anything about the T420 being a netbook or a notbook?
I mean that is not so small as to need a sub-mini, low capacity drive. There is no reason for the Lendovo not to accommodate a standard 2.5" 9.5mm drive. The Macs even fit the 12.5mm drives.
Why couldn't Lenovo put the left hand control key in the correct location? :cursin:
Yes, I have a company provided T410. I haven't been into the BIOS yet. Can I physically swap the keys after I swap them in the BIOS?Why don't you use the BIOS option to swap the Fn and Ctrl keys? You have a T410, right?
I took it out this morning and I'm looking at it. It doesn't appear to be constructed differently from any other $500 plastic notebook. I'm thinking "This is the company that supposedly makes the most generally reliable notebooks on the market? Really?"
Just had my first hardware failure on a Lenovo product. Anyone care to hazard a guess on the manufacturer of the offending part?
