I just found out that while my U2711 works fine with HDMI when connected to a PC, it works with absolutely nothing else over HDMI. I simply don't get a display. That's a little aggravating for a $1000 monitor.

I still buy quite a lot of them. Mostly because there's still a price difference between the USB keyboards and PS/2 versions of the keyboards I like and I'll be damned if I pay an extra $3 just to use a different connector.

I'm almost reasonably certain that I still have some new in box motherboards of that vintage. They're cruddy brands that just happen to have the SiS chipsets my classroom PCs used for years, but if you can't find anything else I'll bet I can come up with something.
