It depends, if you earn lots of money you probably have enough to pay the rent, buy shoes for your kids and so on. So it's probably fair that they pay a bit more. But I also understand if you're against paying taxes if you feel that you don't get anything in return.

The watt rating says nothing really... I got tinnitus from a couple of 2x25 W car amplifiers, so 2x10 W real watts is probably OK.

I would get an amplifier with 2 channels, unless you really, really need more channels. Maybe something like the Yamaha R-S300 or Onkyo TX 8255?

I meant that turbos has been around in cars since 1974, so it's a pretty mature technology that's been tested in an few million cars by now. So a new turbo engine shouldn't be any less reliable than a normally aspirated engine.

Of course! I can't really explain what happens when you listen to a correctly set up Linn system, even a modest one like mine. But here's a video that shows the effect. ;)

I use the Linn K400 speaker cable. It's pretty inexpensive and very good, perfect for bi-amping/active configuration.

B&Ws designs only leave room for bi-wiring/bi-amping, even in their really expensive high end models. But it's probably more of a theoretical problem since they keep producing some of the best speakers in the world. Besides, it usually gets ridiculously expensive as soon as you start thinking...

The principle is like Stereodude said, the details are described in the manual. But It's a free upgrade, and while it isn't as good as an active setup it's still better than nothing. I don't even think that B&W sell active crossovers for use with their speakers?

No, the amp don't have a problem, it still plays music better than most modern amps. It's just lacks in control and details in the music compared to the new one.

I must be crazy, because I just thought that my new amp sound MUCH better than my old one - and it took about two seconds listening to the children's channel at moderate volume to reach that conclusion.

dBpoweramp is supposed to be very good, it can rip HDCD's too... But I use EAC myself.
