It's a known Moz bug. It's been around for at least three years. I've complained about it before.

A bad sector is an immediate cause for 1. Backing up everything possible and 2. RMA. No fooling around. If a drive is out of warranty I might keep it for some utterly unimportant task like storage for DVD rips, but that's about it.

An oscilliscope and a voltmeter are very useful for this kind of thing. Anyway, I think in this case you need to be looking at your PSU instead of the drives or the RAID card.
