    HighPoint RocketRAID 2320 controller review

Me? I'm drowning in PCe 4x slots. Every time I order anything from Newegg, they throw in a whole bunch of them. Hell, they packed the my last order in 4x PCIe slots. I spilled some 4x PCIe slots on my living room floor and threw them away because they were dirty. I'm thinking about replacing my...

I'll just save everyone the suspense of reading the 15 pages of little weeny pages and spoil the surprise: "However, RAID5 arrays still leave much to be desired. I dare conclude that HighPoint software developers should pay a little bit more attention to this array type. However, I am confident...

    LCD vs DLP vs CRT

Nothing makes a better picture than a CRT. I'm fond of DLP, as it's available for larger screen sizes than LCD, but prices on LCD displays have come down, while DLP remains expensive, and DLP needs new bulbs every so often (I'm on the second one for my TV). LCD screens have gotten bigger and...

I pay $8.50 a month for 20GB of space on a server - it grows by 1GB a month, I think. 900something MB, anyway, and 120GB/mo transfer. Not worth it. You lose 16-bit compatibility (a lot of older programs use 16-bit installers) and general driver availability is for shit, and you gain, um... wait, lemme think... oh yeah! Absolutely nothing. mubs, I don't think you'd like Vista, either.

Windows 98 - Windows Protection Error

In rough order of likelihood, I'd say the causes of WPEs are most often drivers - especially display drivers or real-mode network drivers, motherboard "issues" or bad RAM. Or, possibly that hard disk with the bad sectors. You're gonna replace that, right?
