    Microsoft VPN stuff?

Thanks Time. I did do the firmware update, and I'll try the things you suggested on Monday. If they don't work, perhaps I'll get you some router time?

    Microsoft VPN stuff?

Well, everything seemed to go like a charm. Unfortunatly, it doesn't actually work. The Draytek's interface is relatively straightforward, with just a few syntactical PITAs that were quickly sorted. I went into: VPM-PPTP-General Setup ...and set Active MS-CHAPv2 MPPE 40 bits / 128 bits Local...

I'd suspect the reason it told you that is that you're video card doesn't have TV-in/out. The same issue it gave me. Of course, it did say Ultimate was the right one for me.

    I fear a dead drive.

I have GetDataBack, but one of the requirements is that the drive can be detected at all. This is a normally intelligent user. He has a company fileserver that I have built (RAID 10) and he makes regular backups to a series of USB harddrives that he keeps off-site. He uses thumbdrives to move...

    SFTP?

If you had to setup a secure FTP server, what would you use? Some things I've already got: 1. Dedicated server 2. Isolated VLAN 3. Rules to only allow FTP traffic through (ports 20-23, correct?) What I need is suggestions on the software. The OS will be Server 2003 because that is what I...

Your favorite browser is now v1.5

If anything, I wish a barebones firefox installation was simpler. Some people may like having the bookmarks as a toolbar, I don't. If it was only the simplest of browsers and supported the extension system (which is right up there with sliced bread) I would be a more happy camper.

what it really costs to drive a car

My 35,000+mi/yr kinda goes off their charts...but I am in the "small" category, so I'm probably around $0.30/mi ($10,500/yr). My sailboat consumes no gas, but is also likely to cost me about $10,000/yr (sails, breakage, storage). I'm taking it out for the first time in about an hour; if you...
