Yup, running 1.04. The older 1.03 bios had some issues with the card, at least at boot up.

Hey all, I'm running my nice new Radeon 8500 card in my Tyan Tiger MP, and today noticed that on my second monitor certain things will seem to flash a bit. It's very subtle, and stops when I drag the offending app (IE, Window's Exporer, etc) to my primary monitor. Let me see if I can explain...

After going from Win98 to Win2k to WinXP, I have developed a hatered for instability. Actually I guess this is why I don't like Macs very much - I had to use iMacs for some data analysis and literally couldn't go more than fifteen minutes without a crash.

I have used Macs before for simple things (web surfing with IE, Word to write papers) but I've never had the opportunity (to put it one way) to actually have any control over a Mac.

Tea - I realize that you aren't claiming that your tests are perfect, but I feel the need to point this out. Somehow I think your xcopy tests don't really do much in the way of a benchmark since they mainly test STR, for which the larger cache won't do a thing for. I suspect the same test...

Yup, the 10KIII would be my choice as well (after the Cheetah 15KLP, of course). And I would have throw in RAID1 array with 2 WD1200BB/SE for mass storage. Afterall, this is what my God is running. At least they admit that RAID stuff is kindof unclear at the moment and avoid it.

I'm not happy. ATT now charges $10 to "provision" new MAC addresses for cable modems. So for me to dump my old cable modem that I'm leasing from ATT and install one that I bought will cost me $10. They were probably loosing too many lease customers since modem prices are falling. Bastards.
